discord is forcing a username change that no one wants, twitch nearly banned sponsored streams, imgur is banning NSFW and removing old pics, reddit is restricting their API usage and killing off all mobile apps, apple introducing some shitty overpriced AR headset, the amount of fuckups twitter is doing i cant even count on my own two hands its all becoming too much i hate technology i hate you silicon valley
to anyone in the areas impacted by the wildfire smoke, my #1 biggest piece of advice as someone whos been dealing with wildfire smoke in the NW united states for years, is build yourself a Corsi-Rosenthal Cube
they perform as well as expensive HEPA air cleaners, and are comparatively VERY inexpensive. all you need is a box fan, 4 air filters, a piece of cardboard, and some duct tape!!!!
i think it took us maybe a half hour to put ours together, if that, and we replace the filters every 3 months. it’s really made a HUGE difference, both when the air quality is bad, but also with our allergies

The whole point of writing fascist characters as human beings is that real fascists are also human beings. If you think of fascists as somehow less than human you are falling into the trap of letting their mentality frame your worldview, thus legitimizing their course of action!
When you start looking at fascists as subhuman the debate becomes ‘which group is actually subhuman and which is being unfairly maligned?’ And personally I’m not fucking comfortable with that question being on the table ever.
furthermore, the holocaust was not carried out by inhuman monsters or demons. it was humans. just like you. and if you’re not careful, you could be convinced to do unspeakably horrible things to your fellow humans, or sit by and ignore when others do those things.
also also, the fact they’re human makes the act of being a fascist and doing fascist shit so much worse! like, if they WERE some inhuman monster, you could almost sympathize a lil. they’re just doin what comes naturally. like a bear mauling someone in a forest. sad, but you get it, its an animal, you wouldn’t expect anything more.
but no, these are people just like you and me, and they’ve decided to neglect their fellow man and use their infinite potential for abuse, oppression, murder, and genocide.

Pat Robertson was an evil man who did and supported many evil things while he was alive. Of course people are gonna celebrate his death. I don’t understand why people have a hard time grasping this. If you wanna be honored when you’re gone, then do good things while you’re alive. Treat people well. Show that you’re a kind and caring person.
I believe the concept of Hell and Heaven is a little screwed up. But what I do know is that if Pat Robinson is in Heaven, then I don’t wanna go there.
This ideology that you can’t celebrate death is foolish and is based in trying to control human emotions. It is perfectly normal to be happy that someone you think is horrible, is no longer walking the earth. Because that means you no longer have to deal with them.
